Art and creativity have been a motivating force in my life ever since I can remember.  I have painted throughout my adult life in conjunction with parenting, and working.  In mid-life I combined my backgrounds in art and nursing to become an art therapist, a profession which I have loved and practiced for over thirty years.  

Largely inspired by nature, travel, and the environment, I try to capture the essence of what I see as well as the reality, and to create a feeling of depth and tranquility in my work   I like to work in watercolor as well as pastels, mixed media and collage. Prompted by my work in art therapy I also like to make art using an abstract approach to painting, allowing images to emerge from the unconscious mind. These works relate to the inner journey from a collective perspective, with a theme of personal growth and spiritual healing.
