Sue's basic art training was with the Art Instruction School of Minneapolis. She continues to take workshops and classes to increase her knowledge and ability to better portray the personalities of animal life or spectacular vistas of nature.
She paints in pastel, oil, or acrylic in a style using fine details.
She has been and is a member of many art associations and has had work in numerous galleries. Her work can currently be found in galleries in Edmonds and La Conner, WA. She has her work in the new gallery in Seabrook, WA. “The Palette by the Sea”.
Sue's work is accepted into juried shows and she has won many awards for her work. Her work is in collections in Europe and Canada, as well as throughout the U.S. She is one of the selected artist's in the second edition book, "Artists of the West".
Sue has taught classes or workshops in soft pastel in Ocean Shores. She can often be seen as an "Artist in Action" at the galleries where she exhibits.
